Marathon Training, Men, and Mild Delusion

This past week was my spring break, and it definitely went by way too fast…I already miss sleeping. I honestly didn’t get much done except learn how to sew and make so many, many bookmarks.

I’m also still in training for my marathon, and while I think winter training for a spring marathon is the best time to train, I would strongly advise not doing that if you live anywhere in the north where it can snow buckets overnight. I swear almost every long run I’ve had has been somewhat hindered by snow, or I’ve had to rearrange my whole running plan for the week just because of it.

And you could just say, “Yuka, why don’t you just run on the treadmill?” How about you just shut the fuck up…you run for two hours on a treadmill and see if you still have a will to live, because I don’t. And if you do, then good for you, truly…but it could never be me. I’d rather run a 1/10-mile lap one hundred times to get to ten miles.

Other than that, nothing is really new, except for men from my past trying to come back into my life…men who are not available. I will never understand why some men, when they’re in relationships, start talking to people from their past. Not cool, dude. God…three guys in the span of one month, all with stupid “I miss yous.” How about…no? You’re not allowed to miss me, and you’re definitely not allowed to talk to me, to be frank.

It reminds me to be grateful to be single, because the number of times I’ve seen infidelity in relationships is far too much. I swear to God I will never be in those shoes. I may send the “hey girl” text, but I hope to never receive one.

Side note: I finished my first knit sweater, so that’s one thing off my bingo card I can cross off. I’m wearing it in class right now, and it’s not perfect—the sleeves are slightly short, the neck is a little funky, and there are some odd holes—but other than that, it’s very wearable and perfectly oversized, just how I like it.

I need to go to the yarn store to start my next project. It’s another top, but I can’t decide what color to make it. Hopefully the yarn store inspires me.

I also really want to try filet crochet, but I don’t have the right yarn for it at the moment. I want to make a fish to put on my wall, or some kind of outdoor-themed piece.

Anyway, that’s all for now…I need to pay attention in class because I have no idea what’s happening in stats at the moment
